“LOST is a good model for the way that they twisted and twisted and twisted expectations. I’m a huge fan of it and any similarities are intentional,” executive producer Jason Rothenberg tells TVLine.

There is a new show out, (five episodes have aired) called The 100. As I was watching it, I saw alot of LOST comparisions. I had to google and found that the producer is not only a fan of LOST, but that they have put in similarites that are intentional.

I’d also like to point out Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) is also in the show. (with a very formal American accent).

I don’t want to put all the things out in case someone decides to give the show a try, but trust me, you will see what I am talking about within the first episode.

Warning: Episode 5 is a tearjerker.

Desmond Hume!
  • How I feel about this character: Originally, his plot lines confused me, I tended to forget he was even in LOST after I finished. On rewatch I saw just how important he was.
  • All the people I ship romantically with this character: Is there really anyone other than Penny?
  • My non-romantic OTP for this character: Charlie
  • My unpopular opinion about this character: the fact he had two eyes a different size made it hard for me to concentrate (not his fault, obv.)
  • One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Actually he got everything. He got to “rescue charlie from drowning”. He got to get all the characters where they needed to be. He got back with Penny, he had baby Charlie.
